What struck me most about working at WEX was the level of visibility and connectivity I was afforded as an intern. Within my first few weeks, I was working on projects that executives would see and receiving an invitation to lunches and coffee by senior leadership.

When I came to WEX, what surprised me most was how much this company embodies modern-day tech company values. They open up to the idea of interns positively making changes, and they provide meaningful work and learning experiences for each intern to grow and learn.

I was surprised to see the ease people had while balancing individual ownership and teamwork. I was embedded in the work culture to give sufficient space to nurture creativity along with enormous cushion to fall back on!

Coming into WEX as a rising sophomore I thought I was only going to be shadowing my manager. Turns out they gave me real work to do from day 1, and although it was a lot of responsibility, I enjoyed knowing that I was doing work that mattered. I have learned a lot!
