[CITY, DATE] – GNVERT, ENGIE Solutions’ natural gas mobility offering, today announced an agreement signed with WEX®, a global leader in intelligence-led payment and workflow solutions, to give WEX cardholders access to 60 public natural gas for vehicles (NGV) stations operated by ENGIE Solutions across France. WEX is a provider of payment and fleet management solutions in more than 22 countries across Europe.
With this agreement, WEX and ENGIE Solutions increase access to mixed-fuel options for fleets across France. This collaboration aims to make the use of NGV, an alternative fuel to diesel, simpler and more seamless for transport professionals.
With more than 60 public NGV stations strategically located across France, ENGIE Solutions offers a strong territorial network to meet the growing needs of low-carbon mobility. By integrating WEX cards into its network, GNVERT strengthens accessibility to its infrastructure while simplifying the user experience.
The use of BioCNG, a fuel produced from the recovery of organic waste, further amplifies the environmental benefits of vehicles powered by natural gas. It also contributes to the development of this sector, creating local and non-relocatable jobs while supporting France’s energy independence.
BioCNG is the renewable version of NGV. This fuel offers the same benefits as compressed natural gas (CNG) while delivering a carbon footprint lower than diesel and comparable to electric or hydrogen solutions, with an 80% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions across the full lifecycle.
It also ensures permanent access to low-emission zones thanks to its Crit’Air 1 classification, supported by a 50% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions and a 95% reduction in fine particles.*

This collaboration goes beyond simply providing access to an alternative fuel: it is also designed to give fleet managers intelligent control over their spend. Through the WEX platform, fleet managers gain access to precise, real-time consumption monitoring, centralised billing, and reporting tools.
This level of traceability is a key asset for companies engaged in corporate social responsibility initiatives, enabling them to reduce their carbon footprint while optimising operating costs.
For ENGIE Solutions, the agreement with WEX will also allow the company to offer a wider range of payment options for drivers.
