If you’re a Brisbane, Sydney or Perth motorist, now is the ideal time to re-fuel before prices jump back up again within the coming week. Fuel prices are sitting at the 239.9cpl mark in Adelaide and Melbourne at the moment, with no reprieve in sight for another 1 to 3 weeks.
Trends are showing that prices are about to jump in Adelaide and Perth, so motorists should take advantage of the discount phase in their current fuel price cycles. Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney are due to follow suit, however it may be a week or two before we begin to see the first signs of any new price peaks.
Perth motorists, fill up now or expect to see fuel prices in the mid to high 220’s – the peak of the current price cycle is imminent – as it is in Adelaide. Brisbane and Sydney drivers will need to wait for at least a couple of weeks before the discounting phase of the cycle commences, while Melbourne motorists should see some discounting this time next week.
