How it works
Sign up for Eco Miles
We are passionately committed alongside WeForest and want to offer all our customers the opportunity to contribute to this initiative. As a fuel card customer, you can join today or reactivate your enrollment later using this form.
After 6 to 12 months of working with us, your account will be automatically enrolled in the Eco Miles program. We sincerely hope you will support this project, but it is by no means mandatory. It is up to you to decide whether you want to be part of Eco Miles, with the freedom to activate or deactivate this option at any time.
By joining Eco Miles, you strengthen your business’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Show your customers that you are a committed organization by taking concrete action for the climate and nature. In particular, you will be able to display your tree planting certificate on your website or use it as part of an ISO 14001 audit.

What is Eco Miles?
We’ve teamed up with WeForest, an environmental conservation organisation, to provide a simple and impactful solution for you to take action on your business’s impact on the environment. By opting in to our Eco Miles service, and by making a small donation per card every month, your business is taking positive action for climate, nature and people by protecting forests and planting trees. Growing trees is one of the best solutions for removing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere which is causing climate change. The trees and forests will provide new habitats for wildlife including endangered species, and create local employment for communities that are often living in poverty.

Carbon Offsetting
The Forests and trees you grow through the Eco Miles program all make a positive impact on the climate and we can provide estimates on the carbon numbers that you are saving.
What is the difference between the Eco Miles program and the Carbon Offsetting Service?
Carbon Offsetting uses carbon credits, meaning carbon has been saved in the past. We purchase credits on your behalf for the volume you need. 1 credit = 1-tonne carbon.
The Eco Miles program projects are planting new trees and protecting forests that are saving carbon as they grow. We provide carbon estimates and all projects have monitoring protocols (so we are sure they are doing a good job) but they don’t generate carbon credits.

We firmly believe that sustainability means supporting our customers to make our world better. Should every Esso Card™ customer contribute to protecting, growing and planting new trees every month through our Eco Miles solution, together we could grow a forest of 60 million trees* over the next 5 years.
