Motorists will be feeling a sense of relief with stability in the global market and local retail prices falling. Subject to crude and Singapore spot prices over the next week we may see some of the lowest petrol prices on average that we have seen in quite some time. The good news is, motorists will be able to take advantage in filling up which is a great reprieve!

Brisbane

Current ULP average: 169.2cpl

Price range over the last week: 156.9pl – 209.9cpl

Prices continue to fall in Brisbane, now approaching the bottom of the price cycle.

Sydney

Current ULP average: 169.1cpl

Price range over the last week: 157.8cpl – 209.9cpl

Similar to Brisbane, Sydney prices continued to fall. There’s not much left in the market before we get to the low point in the price cycle.

Melbourne

Current ULP average: 170.5cpl

Price range over the last week: 157.9cpl – 200.5cpl

Melbourne is still tracking right alongside of Brisbane and Sydney. We might expect to see the first signs of a new price cycle here in the coming week.

Adelaide

Current ULP average: 174.4cpl

Price range over the last week: 163.9cpl – 192.7cpl

The Adelaide average has fallen considerably over the past week, but based on other capitals, it probably has a little further to drop before we see the next price cycle.

Perth

Current ULP average: 167.3cpl

Price range over the last week: 158.5cpl – 205.9cpl

Perth’s average price at the moment is slightly lower than last week – reflective of wholesale price movements.

Darwin

Current ULP average: 176.6cpl

Price range over the last week: 172.5cpl – 181.9cpl

A very small drop for Darwin last week.

Hobart

Current ULP average: 182.8cpl

Price range over the last week: 171.9cpl – 189.9cpl

Hobart prices moved up slightly for the second week in a row.

Brisbane – 183.6cpl

Wholesale petrol prices decreased this week with average TGP prices going down by 1.6cpl.

Wholesale diesel prices decreased this week with average TGP prices going down by 0.9cpl.
