Diesel prices have continued to fall but most capitals won’t see the same reduction at the pump price. The price gap between both Perth and Adelaide in comparison to other states is close to 20cpl. The good news this week for Motorists with all states currently at the bottom of the price cycle, now is a good time to take advantage and fill up!

Brisbane

Current ULP average: 173.4cpl

Price range over the last week: 165.5cpl – 228.9cpl

Prices dropped over the last week in Brisbane and likely to continue to Brisbane is currently at the bottom of the price cycle. We’ll likely see a jump within the next week or so.

Sydney

Current ULP average:  174.3cpl

Price range over the last week: 156.9cpl – 214.9cpl

Similar to Brisbane, Sydney is also close to the bottom of the price cycle and we expect to see new price cycles within the coming week.

Melbourne

Current ULP average: 174.4cpl

Price range over the last week: 158.9cpl – 224.9cpl

Melbourne will likely be the first capital to hit the price cycle at the end of the week. Most retailers have already started to life prices before doing the same in Brisbane and Sydney. Though, good news is now is a great time to fill up if you’re in Melbourne!

Adelaide

Current ULP average: 169.8cpl

Price range over the last week: 161.5cpl – 219.7cpl

Adelaide is sitting at the bottom of the price cycle and also taking out the state with the lower price this week.

Perth

Current ULP average: 171.8cpl

Price range over the last week: 161.3cpl – 209.9cpl

Prices in Perth have also fallen after the price spike last Wednesday. We will likely see a re-emergence of a weekly cycle here – we’ll keep an eye out and keep you up-to-date!

Darwin (no price cycle)

Current ULP average: 185.4cpl

Price range over the last week: 179.5cpl – 189.9cpl

A small drop in prices for Darwin over the last week.

Hobart (no price cycle)

Current ULP average: 192.3cpl

Price range over the last week: 178.9cpl – 200.1cpl

Hobart saw a small drop in prices over the past week.

Retail diesel prices

Current Diesel averages:

ACT – 230.3cpl

Adelaide – 207.7cpl

Brisbane – 228.7cpl

Darwin – 234.8cpl

Hobart – 236.8cpl

Melbourne – 225.3cpl

Perth – 210.7cpl

Sydney – 223.8cpl

With diesel prices falling considerably for Adelaide and Perth this has set them apart and much lower in comparison to the other states!

Wholesale petrol prices increased/decreased this week with average TGP prices going up/going down by 5.1cpl.

Wholesale diesel prices increased/decreased this week with average TGP prices going up/going down by 6.9cpl.
