This week we saw a large drop in wholesale diesel prices which seems to have translated into significant falls in pump prices for both Adelaide and Perth. With other major capitals seeing minor reductions. We’ll continue to monitor over the next week to see if there are any further reductions or jumps. But for the meantime, motorists in Perth – now is the time to fill up!

Brisbane

Current ULP average: 182.0cpl

Price range over the last week: 167.9cpl – 228.9cpl

Brisbane is looking to move closer to the bottom of the price cycle over the next week with the drop of almost 10cpl in the average price last week.

Sydney

Current ULP average:  182.6cpl

Price range over the last week: 167.9cpl – 214.9cpl

Sydney also saw a drop with average prices down by 11cpl.

Melbourne

Current ULP average: 180.1pl

Price range over the last week: 148.3cpl – 224.9cpl

Melbourne is likely to be only a week or so off from the bottom of the price cycle. Subject to how wholesale prices track within the next week we could see the first of the new price cycles within the next 7 days – stay tuned!

Adelaide

Current ULP average: 197.4cpl

Price range over the last week: 163.5cpl – 219.7cpl

Prices in Adelaide remain relatively high after the new price cycle last week – currently at the highest average of ULP prices of all capitals!

Perth

Current ULP average: 175.9cpl

Price range over the last week: 164.7cpl – 209.9cpl

Perth is at the bottom of the price cycle with the new price spike expected to hit this Wednesday 30 November. We could see the new peak price hit 209.9cpl again – but likely to be a few lower cents this coming fortnight.

Darwin (no price cycle)

Current ULP average:187.8cpl

Price range over the last week: 180.5cpl – 193.9cpl

Slight fall in ULP prices for Darwin.

Hobart (no price cycle)

Current ULP average: 193.4cpl

Price range over the last week: 174.9cpl – 200.2cpl

Similar to Darwin, the Hobart average price fell slightly over the course of the last week.

Retail diesel prices

Current Diesel averages:

ACT – 234.0cpl

Adelaide – 214.1cpl

Brisbane – 233.2cpl

Darwin – 239.3cpl

Hobart – 242.1cpl

Melbourne – 229.3cpl

Perth – 218.4cpl

Sydney – 229.9cpl

With diesel prices falling considerably for Adelaide and Perth this has set them apart and much lower in comparison to the other states!

Wholesale petrol prices decreased this week with average TGP prices going down by 3.1cpl.

Wholesale diesel prices decreased this week with average TGP prices going down by 8.8cpl.
