Sandy Kuohn

Chief People Officer

As Chief People Officer, Sandy leads the company’s worldwide people strategy, overseeing all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition, total rewards, and performance management. A recognized change agent and culture carrier, she is dedicated to cultivating a high-performance culture where leadership excellence and inclusive values drive collective success. Since joining WEX in 2025, Sandy has focused on aligning the global workforce with the company’s evolving vision.

Sandy previously served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President at City National Bank, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada. In this leadership position, she drove the bank’s human resources strategy and oversaw all critical HR functions. Her responsibilities included leading talent management, leadership development, total rewards, colleague engagement, workforce diversity, and HR risk management.

Before City National, Sandy was at Huntington National Bank in Columbus, Ohio, where she led human resources and drove complex organizational change, including due diligence and integration initiatives for seven mergers and acquisitions over a 10-year period. Her earlier career spans high-impact roles in management consulting and organizational development at firms such as Urban Science, SDK Consulting, Electro Wire Products and Andersen Consulting.

Sandy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, graduating with honors, from Michigan State University. Beyond her professional achievements, she is passionate about leadership in the nonprofit sector, having served as a board member for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California and a long-time trustee for CATCH (Caring Athletes Team for Children’s and Henry Ford Hospitals).
