When WEX conducted its annual consumer healthcare survey in mid-February, coronavirus was a blip on our radars. Just a few weeks later, a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases brought the country to a halt. This made many of our questions about healthcare risk tolerance and preparedness even more real. It was clear we needed to conduct a follow-up survey.Â
In this second survey, performed in June, we detected a profound shift in the way Americans view their healthcare benefits as a result of the pandemic. Our research report reflects a thorough temperature check on these changes.
