This is why we introduced a series of videos, as well as a blog series featuring short interviews with key members at WEX’s locations. Following our interview with Director of Strategic Planning Justin Cross, we would today like to introduce you to James Babka, Strategic Business Analyst at WEX.

Studying How WEX Works Now, and What’s Next: Interview with James Babka

Growing the top line and reducing the expenses, sounds simple enough. But how does an organization accomplish those goals? An Excel aficionado, Mr. Babka studies how WEX is put together now and layers in different scenarios and their impact on what WEX will look like five or six years from now.

Receiving his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver, Mr. Babka continued his financial education, receiving his Master’s of Finance from University of Denver Daniels College of Business in 2003.

From his time as a Mutual Fund Accountant through the late 90s to mid-2000s, Mr. Babka took on increasing roles in equity research before taking on his latest role as the strategic business analyst here at WEX.

Working at our beautiful corporate headquarters in South Portland, Maine, Mr. Babka has been with WEX since 2013. Whether it’s acquisition analysis, scenario modeling, or strategy development, Mr. Babka supports WEX’s constant improvement. Watch the video below to learn more.
