“Success is not defined by the company you work for; rather, it is defined by your own personality and the opportunities you create for your team and yourself. It’s a mindset of, ‘Here’s what I am going to do to build the company and my team,’ rather than focusing on what the company can do for you.” This statement is only a piece of The Glass Hammer’s most recent ‘Voice of Experience’ feature: WEX’s own Tiffany Wirth, Vice President of Healthcare Marketing.
Each month, the Glass Hammer shined a spotlight on a new WEXer, highlighting their achievements and exploring the career paths they still continue to build and evolve. During a recent month, we heard from Ms. Wirth, who believes that focusing on helping teammates and partners grow will ultimately lead to the most successful outcome when working in her role. Relationships are most important to her, and she especially values mentors. “A mentor can help you so much with challenging yourself to do and achieve more for yourself, your team, and ultimately, your company,” she states.
Ms. Wirth is working to build a mentoring program at WEX, which will ultimately allow her to incorporate what she enjoys most into her career: her relationships with others around her.
Each month, The Glass Hammer featured the stories and achievements of female WEX employees to help women in the professional world reach higher in their careers.
The Glass Hammer was founded as a career resource for professional women. The site provided advice, coaching, and networking opportunities for professional women, namely in finance, technology, and banking. As a sponsor of The Glass Hammer, WEX contributed monthly to this immensely helpful, highly valuable resource for women as they reached higher in their careers and lives.
