Nashville, Tennessee, May 4th, 2017 – Today, EFS, a WEX Company, and a leader in fleet payment solutions, announced that Premier Transportation (Premier), an Irregular Route Common and Contract Carrier specializing in providing integrated transportation and logistics solutions to the retail and consumer products industries nationwide, will move its payments business to EFS.
Premier moved its business to EFS as part of an ongoing effort to build the best payments application to fit its business needs. Premier selected EFS because of its leading technology and ability to easily integrate its web services with Premier’s existing proprietary software, bringing a real-time environment to Premier for the first time.
“EFS didn’t come to us and talk about price or discounts. Their approach brought strategic value to the conversation, which was different from other providers in the industry,” said Tom Rowan, Chief Financial Officer of Premier. “EFS developed a broad relationship with our team and that made the transition even easier because we knew they were invested in our business from the start and would deliver the right solution for us moving forward,” said Rowan.
Premier launched with a portfolio of EFS services including fleet cards, SmartFunds® payroll technology and EFS’ Virtual Payments for maintenance expenses.
