Preparing for SPARK 2019: Top 5 Things to Know
The WEX SPARK Health 2019 conference is less than two weeks away. If you’re joining us in Miami from May 6 – 8, here’s a hit list of topics designed to help make your conference experience the best it can be!
WHAT A WAY TO START
For the first time, Day One—Monday, May 6—of the conference features a fantastic roster of learning sessions. While most Spotlight Sessions, SPARK Starters and Learning Labs trend toward an introductory focus, we’ve also included meatier topics. With something for every role and skill level, we invite you to join us for an afternoon of skill development and exploration! Today’s Extra: Our time in Miami may be short, but the days will be long in opportunities! Tech 1:1 Meetings provide the opportunity for Partners with specific technical questions to request a face-to-face consultation with a WEX Health subject matter expert. The first step to securing a Tech 1:1 Meeting is to complete the Tech 1:1 Request Form. Don’t delay—request your meeting today!
WELCOME TO…THE WELCOME RECEPTION!
Monday, May 6 features a brisk start to the event, with Golf Tournament participants heading to the course and us non-golfers getting a jump-start on growing our knowledge in concurrent sessions. We’ll all come together for the “official” kickoff to SPARK 2019, the Welcome Reception. Held outside on Tropez Lawn, this relaxing and informal gathering is a time to connect with others, nibble on goodies from the buffets, and enjoy the local Miami flavors. We’ll take our annual group photo at 7:30 PM during the Welcome Reception, and we have a special request: wear white! Dressy or informal, it makes no difference, just please wear white. See you at the Welcome Reception from 7:00 to 10:00 PM! While we’re at it, we’ll note here that the recommended attire for SPARK 2019 is business casual. Tuesday evening’s Partner Awards Dinner and Program is the slight exception, with most folks leaning toward dressy casual or cocktail attire.
CHANGING THE CONSUMER STORY
We all know that consumer directed health plans (CDHP) are the better financial choice for many consumers. So, why don’t more people choose them—and use them?
Taking the main keynote stage on Wednesday, May 8, WEX Health’s Jeff Bakke, chief strategy officer, and Lisa Goldkamp, vice president, will guide you on a tour of findings from our recent research studies. Sharing trends, examples, and insights, they’ll bring to life the stories that will help us better understand how, when, and why consumers think, feel, and talk about HSAs, FSAs, and more. You’ll be energized by the opportunity we have to get more people benefiting from the plans that we know can help them save and pay for healthcare. MOBILE APP FEATURE SPOTLIGHT: CLICK
For those seeking a little friendly competition and a little added adventure, we introduce you to Click, the SPARK 2019 mobile app scavenger hunt! The rules are simple: Take photos that represent each challenge and submit them in the app to earn points. There are six different categories of challenges, and once you’ve qualified for all the challenges in a category, you earn a badge. The winner of the scavenger hunt (as determined by the SPARK 2019 event team) will receive a $100 gift card—and bragging rights for next year. The scavenger hunt is now open, and there are challenges to meet before you arrive in Miami, so let the games begin!
