How does WEX Health simplify the business of healthcare? With the help of great people. By the end of this year, we anticipate hiring at least 50 more creators, innovators and leaders to join our staff. To accommodate our continued growth, we’ll have positions to fill across our offices. And on the heels of our very successful WEX Health Career Fair, I want to tell you what sets WEX Health apart as an employer and why you may want to consider joining our team:
-  We win awards for being one of the world’s best employers.
Last year, WEX Inc. earned its Great Place to Work® certification, which is awarded to those companies with high-trust and high-performance cultures, as determined through a survey of our employees. WEX Health was also just named a finalist in the 2018 Stevie Awards for Great Employers in recognition of the world’s best employers and the human resources professionals, teams, achievements and HR-related products and suppliers that help to create and drive great places to work.
- Our people and our culture come first.
Jeff Young, president at WEX Health, is an inspiring leader who has really set the tone for a caring, compassionate and charismatic workplace. We put a lot of focus on relationships, wellness and fun in the workplace, hosting various culture club events and investing regularly in our people and the workplace environment. Our people tell us the main reason they love to work here is because of one another. We’re home to a team of smart, dedicated, hard-working people who help this company continue to exceed performance and financial expectations while also taking their careers to the next level.
- Our benefits are bar none.
It’s no accident that, as a result of WEX Health’s passion for consumer-driven healthcare (CDH) and health savings accounts (HSAs), we offer our employees CDH plan options to choose from, as part of our comprehensive benefits and awards package. And the benefits WEX offers just keep getting better each year. We recently added six weeks of fully paid parental leave to new mothers and fathers and rolled out our Expedition sabbatical program, which offers employees who have worked for us for six years or more up to 20 working days of paid leave to travel and/or pursue a passion.
- We give back with gusto.
WEX Health’s commitment to giving back to our communities comes from the heart. That’s why we engage employees in our Pay It Forward program, in which employees nominate organizations and folks in their communities that could benefit from funding. Since rolling out that program seven years ago, we’ve poured more than $100,000 into our communities. WEXers also regularly give back through the United Way and our Volunteer Time Off program.
- We take leadership development and career growth very seriously (but have fun with it.)
The average tenure of WEX Health’s senior leadership is 10 years—a testament to our company’s investments in our people’s growth, development and retention.
Annually, we promote or move up to 100 people in our organization into refreshed positions and mentorship programs so that they can continue to grow in their careers. We know that’s key to keeping great people. This is also why leadership development remains a strong focus of our curriculum. Anyone who is promoted to, or brought in as, a people manager is invited to a WEXpectations training program that treats leaders to development to better lead and inspire their team and collaboration and knowledge sharing with other leaders. We continue the development of our people leaders with our Integrated Management Development Program (IMDP), and directors and above are invited to our Integrated Leadership Development Program (ILDP).
